  • Posh Bingo's new adverts!

By Vikki Taylor on Thursday, 23rd April 2009

Posh Bingo have recently done a bit of sprucing up to their website and now they’ve got two new adverts as well.

Posh Bingo has had a total transformation, and it’s now posher than ever with its new site, so it wasn’t going to be long before they hit our television screens.

There are two new adverts for Posh Bingo, that I’ve found, one obviously more aimed at women, the other at men.

The first has posh handbags and shoes talking amongst themselves on the shop shelves, wondering where all the “glitzy girls have gone.”¯ Well, they’re all at Posh Bingo of course! It’s even the same for the blokes, leaving the golf course abandoned to play posh bingo while two very upper-class old golf bags seem to be a bit offended by the whole thing.

Well, it’s inatimate talking objects all round for these adverts and personally I think they’re “spiffing”¯!

  • Posh Throws Down the Gauntlet To ASA

By Lisa West on Tuesday, 29th September 2009

The ASA, which is, the UK Advertising Standards Agency, have certainly been keeping busy of late.  Looking at the complaints, for Bingo advertising, a few of the operators do seem to be (somewhat alarmingly), shall we say, inaccurately portraying their promotions? But it’s not just misleading information, that the ASA keep an eye out for.

Only months ago, Tombola had to completely redesign their ‘look’, due to their advertising being way too appealing, and too inviting, to young people. According to the ASA. Even so, just lately, the ASA have been getting more publicity than most of the Online Bingo Operators put together!  So, who’s keeping an eye on them, eh?? Lol.

Only a couple of months ago, the ASA made Bingo Hero change it’s promotional advertising, for their apparent, free cash welcome bonus… which, as it turned out, was not real cash at all!  However, the ASA have also responded to some suspiciously ‘nit picky’ complaints, which have ultimately, gotten much more attention than they were worth. And this does seem the case, with regards to a recent complaint, about Posh Bingo. The ASA recently turned the heat on, after a member of the general public said their TV adverts were misleading.

However, after an investigation into the complaint, the ASA found that the Posh Bingo TV Advert neither mislead the public, nor were they in breach of any advertising standards, or TV advertising codes.  Therefore, the complaint has been dismissed, which has to be good news for Posh Bingo.  Because, all that revamping and making adverts costs a lorra money! And, it’s not like they would have been the first to have to do that.

  • Expect The Best From Tombola Bingo

By Lisa West on Saturday, 14th November 2009

Everyone knows, they can expect the very best from Tombola Bingo.  And, it seems that can be said as fervently, with regards to their games, as it can for their adverts.  For some time Tombola Bingo have been readying their bumpers - the name given to those short and sweet sponsorship adverts, just before and after the commercial breaks…

The program being sponsored is the ever endearing Emmerdale.  And, the new adverts looked all set.  However, the launch of Tombola’s new Emmerdale ‘bumpers’ has been shifted to 16th November.  So, it seems everyone will have to keep control of their dabbers a bit longer.  But, thankfully, not too long!

The Tombola Bingo advertising team have been burning the midnight oil, to deliver them on time.  Even so, they still run out of time… and knowing the importance of making a good first impression, the guys have done the sensible thing.  They have held off for a couple of days, until they are satisfied it is up to par.  And, without doubt, if it is coming out of the Tombola camp, it is going to be good. Plus! Don’t forget, it is Tombola members who are taking up roles in the new series of ads.  So, there are going to be a lot of excited members around their TV’s, making the most of their brush with fame and fortune.

Tombola Bingo pay out over £3 million in prize money every week. Not a member at Tombola yet? If you picked up one of the $5 voucher codes, it can still be used.  Or, deposit from £10 to £25 on sign up, and they will give you a 100% cash match.  Still not convinced?  Bet you will be, once you catch the latest Emmerdale!
