  • Free £10 No Deposit Bonus at Betfred Bingo

By Lisa West on Tuesday, 23rd June 2009

Yet another big Bingo name has announced it is changing over to the Virtue Fusion gaming software.  Betfred Bingo are swapping from Playtech, over to virtue, in a bid to expand the Bingo, and side games, they already have on offer.  Like many other Online Bingo sites, including Paddy Power & Virgin Bingo, many operators find the  Virtue Fusion software more flexible.

Bet Fred already have an extensive variety of games on offer, including slots, casino and poker games, lotto and mobile betting.  It will be interesting to see what develops when they actually make the change over.  If you haven’t played Bingo at Bet Fred yet, right now they are offering a £10, Free No Deposit Bonus.

You will need to register and enter your payment details, in  order to qualify, and have downloaded their current Bingo software.  In addition, you  need to send them an email to claim your £10.  Betfred Bingo will then credit your account within twenty four hours.  That might all seem a bit long winded, but they are offering one of the best Free No deposit Bonus deals around at the moment, and it doesn’t take long to sign up.

New players also receive a whopping great 150% Bonus when they make their first deposit, right to a £100!! Unlike the Free No Deposit Bonus, this new player Bingo Bonus is credited to your account straight away, unless you pay via MoneyBookers or Paypal. In this case, you will have to contact the Bet Fred Online Support and request this one too.

Every week, BetFred Bingo give away hundreds of thousands of Free Bingo cards, and they also give their players a 25% bonus every time they make a deposit. The Bingo Bonuses are big and there are tonnes of special promotions always on offer.  All in all, there’s a lot of good reasons to play with Bet Fred. Why wait?

  • Free Bingo - Cheeky vs Posh

By Vikki Taylor on Wednesday, 22nd April 2009

Cheeky Bingo were the first to offer us online players free bingo, and now Posh Bingo have hopped on the bandwagon!

A few online bingo sites offer such things as happy hours or promo days to give players free bingo. But Cheeky Bingo and Posh Bingo are the only ones offering Free Bingo all day, every day!

I haven’t yet seen Cheeky Bingo’s Free Bingo but Posh Bingo’s jackpots can ranges from 50p to £5.

Yes, it’s true. The jackpots aren’t that great but there’s always a chance to build up your winnings, and let’s face it: it’s something for nothing, isn’t it?

The only thing Posh Bingo’s Free Bingo is really lacking in is a chat feature. The whole thing, in my opinion, gets a bit boring just sitting watching the numbers roll on by with nothing to really get involved in. And the live chat button in the top corner of the home page only seems to take you to player support.

I think the Free Bingo on these sites is a good idea—it will get more offer hunting players onto the site—but if the free bingo is constant, even with bigger cash games with higher jackpots, at what point will people start depositing to play?

  • Best Bingo Site? Putting YOUR money where their mouth is?

By Lisa West on Thursday, 4th June 2009

There are literally hundreds of Online Bingo websites out there.  If you are new to Online Bingo, how do you know which is the best?  After all, just about all of them claim to be the Best Bingo Site around!!  When it comes to publicity, you know what they say, don’t you?  Don’t believe the hype… but when your new to the circuit you’ve gotta start somewhere.  It all boils down to what you are looking for.  What’s perfect for one player, may not be so hot for another.  So, what is it you’re looking for?

First, take a look around and define exactly what appeals to you the most. Is it the Big Bingo Jackpots you’re after? Free Bingo? A No Deposit Bonus? Are you a team player?  Or do you like to ‘play it alone’?  All these points will matter.  Some Online Bingo websites will have a good selection of Side Games, others won’t.  It’s not about what they define as the Best Bingo Site, it’s what YOU define it as that matters.  Without doubt, a lot of Players are looking for the No Deposit Bonus, given when you sign up.

The reason for that?  Well, you might not like the games on offer, and a No Deposit Bonus gives you the perfect chance to try new games without throwing your own money away.  Another thing to check out?  Criteria. An Online Bingo Site that wraps its players up in knots with ‘wager requirements’ can send a person crazy!  But ultimately, the Best Bingo Site will offer a safe and secure environment for its players.  That means, secure payment, and a friendly Bingo Community.  Good luck!

  • New!!!! Eyes Down Bingo - No Deposit

By Lisa West on Friday, 10th July 2009

No Deposit Bingo is becoming a rare commodity these days, so you’d better hurry up before Eyes Down Bingo change their mind too!  This is the latest, New Online Bingo offering from Parlay Entertainment.  The design is cute, all fluffy, pink and girlie looking.  Nothing flash, no superstars, (or Big Brother housemates - lol).  Just the good old 75 and 90ball Bingo Games. Along with a daily slot ‘event’, where you can win and spin! Plus Video Poker, Keno and all the usual distractions!!  There’s no download, and they don’t ask for your credit card details at registration. So not a lot to lose here!

I love No Deposit Bingo.  Even if they had a one eyed beagle doing the calling, and 50balls on the go, I’d be there!  As it goes, Eyes Down Bingo have a very nice Northern lady doing the calling, and she’s got the usual set of balls we’ve come to expect!!!  I leave that with you… Sign up, and the No Deposit Bingo Bonus of £10 is yours. No catch, no waiting, no filing for divorce to be eligible!  That’s a 100 Free Bingo Games, just there for the taking.  On top of that, if you do deposit, they will also give you a 150% Bonus on your first deposit, and a guaranteed 50% on deposits after that.  They also offer a couple of other ‘special’ Deposit Bonuses, but you’ll need to check them out yourself.  Coz, I’m not going to spend the whole article rambling on about them. I got other fish to fry!

For a New Online Bingo website, the Jackpot Bingo Games are pretty good.  Eyes Down Bingo also has a couple of New Online Bingo side games on offer, Bingo Wars, and Oddly Enough.  In Bingo Wars, players bet on whether the last number called will be higher, or lower than the first.  Oddly Enough is a ‘virtual’ Bingo Game’, where players predict if more odd than even numbers will be called.  Both, nice and simple, so if you’ve had a few Martinis, the rules won’t get the best of you! Another Bonus!!

  • Get a £20 No Deposit Bonus at House of Bingo

By Lisa West on Saturday, 11th July 2009

House of Bingo were launched just last year, and in the short time they’ve been up and running, they have managed to make a good impression among Online Bingo players.  The design is a bit different, kind of nostalgic!  Reminds me of the stage at my local church hall! But then, they are using the Cozy Bingo Software, so maybe the shoe fits… I did check this site out when they first started, and they were only offering the classic UK 90Ball Bingo Game, and a fast, 80Ball Game.  I’m pleased to see, they have recently added a new 75Ball Bingo Game as well.

You don’t see the site around that much, not like you do the big brand names.  But then again, you don’t get hundreds of players all fighting for a tenner in every room you enter, and that can be a GOOD thing!! House of Bingo also give you £20 in Bingo Bucks for signing up.  So it’s no big licks if you don’t like what they have to offer.  You do have to register a credit card, when you sign up, but you don’t have to make a deposit to get you paws on the £20.

If you decide to stay and play at House of Bingo, they will give you a whopping 200% cash match bonus on your first deposit.  After that, you can get up to 250% on every deposit you make.  They have a main monthly promotion available, and daily promotions.  Plus, some cool giveaways and bonuses up for grabs at the weekend.  You find things like, Buy one get one free, and there’s a £100 Guaranteed daily Jackpot Bingo Game held every day.  The Big Wins here are under a thousand, so if you’re looking for life changing amounts, look elsewhere!  No, it’s not Foxyfied, and it’s not Celebrified.  But it is Cozyfied!!!

  • King Jackpot Bingo Wears the 3D Crown of Online Bingo

By Lisa West on Sunday, 12th July 2009

Being a big (BIG!!!) Sims fan for many years, I just love the 3D graphics at King Jackpot Bingo.  Awesome!!  It just makes the whole Online Bingo experience soooo realistic.  King Jackpot Bingo has been around a while now, since 2004 in fact.  They don’t have the publicity of sites like Foxy, or Crown, but they do have the awesome graphics and games, provided by Leapfrog Software.  A company renowned for their 3D, ‘virtual’ Bingo Hall, graphics creations. If you’re not a big 3D Games player, don’t be put of by the techie graphics, the site is easy to use.  Even if you’ve never been to a Bingo Hall in your life, you’ll find your way around, no problem.

You do need to download software, to play Online Bingo at King Jackpot.  If you have a fast connection, this can be sorted in about five minutes.  It might take another five, even ten, if your on an old line, but believe me when I say.  It truly is going to be worth it!  King Jackpot Bingo have the classic UK 90Ball Bingo Game, and the American 75Ball.  Plus, a whole collection of side games; slots, scratch cards, video poker and more… there is something for everyone, and moving around from one Bingo Hall to another is also a lot of fun!

King Jackpot Bingo will give all new players a £10, No Deposit Bonus, to take a look around.  On the house!  Every player has their own Avatar, although you can only personalise it to a point.  I have to say, one of the down features for me….  However, the fact everyone has Avatars, and you can see each other, makes it really interactive and a load more fun.  Makes that little chat box ‘thing’, seem truly ‘old school’…which it is!!!  Once everyone takes their seat, it’s time to play Bingo!!! (You can even see how many numbers others players need to win!).  If you like the site, and decide to deposit, King Jackpot will match it, 100%, plus, they will give you 20% on every deposit after that.  An truly incredible, Online Bingo, gaming experience…

  • Check out the Great Bonuses at Mira Bingo

By Lisa West on Sunday, 19th July 2009

You can get £15 for absolutely nothing at Mira Bingo! However, you do have to register a valid credit or debit card to receive it. I tend to get a little peeved, when a site demands credit card details for a Free No Deposit Bingo Bonus. However, I guess it’s not that much to ask really. Especially when they are going to give you fifteen quid’s worth of FREE BINGO!

If you take advantage of the £15 Free No Deposit Bingo money, you should have a good idea as to whether you like the site or not. Mira will also give you a 300% cash match bonus on your first three deposits. The fact Mira Bingo will give you that much, three times, means there’s a lot of FREE BINGO to be had at Mira. Well worth a look, at least.

There aren’t that many Online Bingo operators offering Free No Deposit Bingo money to new players, at the moment.  There was a time when they were two a penny! Who knows how long Mira Bingo will keep the promotion in place. If the others are anything to go by, it won’t be long. So, you’d best get down there and sign up sooner, rather than later. Else you could miss out on your FREE BINGO cash.

Mira Bingo has some innovative promotions regularly on the go. Things like their ‘Feeling Lucky? Promotion… every time players make a deposit, they are given a ‘lucky number’. Get Bingo on that number, and the house will double it. Another little extra for depositing players is ‘Lucky depositors’. For every £20 players deposit, they get one entry in to that day’s prize draw. Three lucky players are then picked to receive a smiley, £25 bonus. That means there’s a lot of good reasons to deposit money with Mira!

  • Looking for a Bingo Hero?

By Lisa West on Tuesday, 21st July 2009

Gotta say, maybe I’m a bit weird (whatever!), but I can’t help being drawn to my spandex clad partner in Bingo, Bingo Hero.  Maybe it’s because it takes me back to when I was a kid!  All that chiselled chin look and cheesy grin, it’s impossible not to feel some nostalgia.  Okay, so I’ve gone on enough about the spandex man.  I do have a good reason though, to bring your attention to this great little Online Bingo website.  Want to know what it is?  No Deposit Bingo Bonus.  Ahhh!  That got your attention didn’t it!

Bingo Hero will give all new players £15, just for signing up.  That’s a lot of chances to win, without having to risk a penny.  So gooood!!!  Like music to the ears!  Plus, any money you win, with this No Deposit Bingo Bonus, is actually cashable.  Even better.  If you do decide you like this Online Bingo website, and there’s a lot of good reasons why you will, making a deposit here means Big Bonus time!!!  Right now, you can get a 300% Deposit Bonus, up to a storming £300!  On top of that,  BingoHero will also give you 200% on reloads.  Absolutely incredible.  Awesome even!

If you make a deposit by Solo, Switch or Ukash, our very generous Bingo Hero will give you an extra 25% Bonus.  On top of the 200%.   Who knows how long they will keep the No Deposit Bingo Bonus promotion .  usually, it isn’t for that long, so, you’d be better taking advantage of the offer, sooner, rather than later.  Hero has the 90, 80 and 75Ball Bingo Games, and a REALLY fast 30Ball game.  You can buy anywhere from two, to forty eight tickets for bingo games, and there’s also a reasonable selection of slots and instants.  Plenty of chat and some good promotions.  This is one Bingo hero who definitely has my vote! Honest, it’s not just the spandex!

  • £20 Free No Deposit Bonus at Bingo Scotland!

By Lisa West on Tuesday, 28th July 2009

As I know there’s no-one who can refuse a Free No Deposit Bonus!  So I thought I’d let you know about this one.  Just in case anyone missed it!  At a time when the good old Free No Deposit Bonus is becoming a bit thin on the ground, Bingo Scotland has generously come to the rescue.  Right now, all newly registered players can help themselves to a big, fat, £20 Deposit.  Without having to had over a single penny.  Like many of the Online Bingo websites with this offer, a credit or debit card has to be registered.  But I guess, that’s not a lot to ask… That is, as long as you don’t use an alternative payment method, because you don't actually have a credit or debit card.

Bingo Scotland are one of the leading Online Bingo websites, and have two sister sites, Little Big Bingo and Think Bingo.  They haven’t had a Free No Deposit Bingo Bonus before.  This is a first for Bingo Scotland, and who knows how long it will be around.  It seems likely it’s all part of their new promotional ‘push’.  So, odds are, when that’s over so might the Free £20 be.  With offers like these, it is always best to get in there quick.

With a name like Bingo Scotland, you might think this Online Bingo website is only for those who live there.  Not so, although the site is very ‘Scottish’ looking…and sounding!   With it’s blue tartan background and games like “True Blue” and the  “Scot Pot”.  Bingo Scotland has the 90Ball and 75Ball Bingo games and plenty of jackpots up for grabs.  However, they do not offer any casinos, instants or any other side games.  This is a pure bred, all Bingo website!  You can’t win any prizes or cash with the Free No Deposit Bingo money.  But you can have a lot of fun!

  • Who's The Big Bad Fox? Not Foxy!

By Lisa West on Monday, 10th August 2009

It really is a FREE Bingo fest online right now!  Players can now play 24hrs a day, seven days a week without parting with a penny.  In fact, at the new Foxy Zero site there is a free game played every three minutes!  The newly launched Foxy Zero is the little sister of the Fox himself and as you can probably guess, it is so named because it will cost you zero, zilch to play there.  Foxy Zero is the latest offering from the Cashcade group, and you may have seen the adverts already.  The publicity is a good indication of just how smart the Fox is, and he’s definitely been a busy guy of late!

The new site has free and paid games available.  The 90ball “Free as a Bird” room is open 24hrs a day.  The “Free-ky” Bingo room palys the 75ball game and opens it’s doors at 6am.  The Jackpots vary, a few pounds at the moment, but it does seem to be going up swiftly!  Registered players at Foxy Bingo can use the same login at the Foxy Zero website.  If you are new, you will need to register a bank card, even to play the free games.

The paid to play rooms have tickets going for as little as 2p.  There are two permanent 90ball bingo rooms with 5p and 10p ticket games.  The minimum deposit is £10, and Foxy (being the ever generous guy he is) will give you a 200% first deposit bonus.  Right up to £200!!  On top of that, he will give you a 50% cash match on every reload, for ever!  The Jackpots are bigger in the pay to play rooms, and there is a £500 Jackpot, 5p game played every day - The Foxylicious 500!  The Friday Phenomenon has a £2500 prize and the game begins at 9pm.  Tickets are just 25p!  Register top and as Foxt says “ you play, we pay”!!!

  • Don't Forget 888 Ladies Day!

By Lisa West on Sunday, 2nd August 2009

888Ladies Bingo are going all guns blazing!  Apart from launching 17 new Instant games, 888Ladies have also decided to keep their Free Bingo promotion in play.  Now, I know there’s a lot of Free Bingo around these days.  However, with the crazy, 888 ladies, it’s a whole new Free Bingo ball game!  Whereas a lot of sites, like Cheeky and Costa, have £10 Jackpots up for grabs, 888 are paying out hundreds of pounds in their Guaranteed Jackpot games.   From Monday to Friday, at seven o’ clock in the evening, players can select six Free cards, for entry into a £300 Guaranteed Jackpot game.  Then, on Saturday and Sunday, that Jackpot goes up to an incredible £500!

Up until August 8th, deposited players have a chance to win a year’s salary, in the 888 ladies day prize draw.  They held the same promotion last year, so if you miss out, don’t worry, there’s always next year! Lol……  This year, they have upped the prize money to £24,000 (just as well someone's keeping their eye on inflation..).  This is a prize draw, and players receive one entry for every £55 they spend on Bingo or Instants.  888ladies also have a Mexican Cruise up for grabs, and there’s £1500 in prizes given away every weekend.  That’s a lot of tempting reasons to go check them out.

If you haven’t registered with 888ladies before, they will give you £5 when you sign up.  If you want to play the Free Games, you need to have made at least one deposit.  On first deposits, 888 give new players another £15 in Bonus Money.  It isn’t just the Free Guaranteed Jackpot games that makes 888ladies such a big hit with players (although, no doubt, it helps!).  This is one operator who really knows how to lavish their players with rewards and generous promotions, which is no more than you lovely lot deserve!

  • Is Free Play Bingo Here to Stay?

By Lisa West on Wednesday, 12th August 2009

Data released by an online bingo monitoring website has revealed some astonishing figures, with regards to how many players have shifted to free play Bingo websites.  Of course, the economy is sure to have a lot to do with that!  Today, many of the pay to play sites are opening free play Bingo rooms.  For instance, Foxy Zero, Cheeky Bingo, Costa and Posh.  The data indicates that the current trend could potentially cause a significant reduction in player loyalty, for the big brand name Bingo websites.

The figures show, during July, around a third of online players play at the free bingo websites.  That’s a raise of 3% in the last six months.  Without doubt, the free rooms offer players the opportunity to have some fun, without having to pay for it, which definitely makes a nice change in this day and age!  What the impact will be, on the pay to play sites, in the long term is unclear.  This may just be a phase.  After all, the jackpots are usually just a few pounds, and many players like to play for big money.  So, it seems probable that pay to play sites, offering big jackpot prizes, shouldn’t be affected too much.

The big question is, what exactly do the free bingo websites have to gain?  Running a website isn’t cheap.  The competition is building, and I can’t help wondering, where will it all end?  Or when!  Of course, ultimately, the operators must be banking on the assumption that these free players will, eventually, deposit cash and join in with the pay to play games.  At the end of the day, the free play games are fun, and if players are a bit stretched for cash, there’s no need to miss out on their favourite game.  However, in the long term?  Well, we will all have to just wait and see!

  • Free Bingo? It's Priceless!

By Lisa West on Thursday, 13th August 2009

Priceless Bingo is exactly that!  You won’t have to part with a penny to play here…not unless you want to of course!  Looks like things are going to get even hotter, with yet another free bingo site being added to the mix.  The new Priceless Bingo has been launched using one of the UK’s leading software providers, Cosy Games.  The same software used by Bingo Playground, who recently won ‘Site of the Year 2008’.  Right now, it doesn’t look like they will be giving cheeky or Costa too much to get fluffy under the collar about, but it’s early days yet.

At the moment, Priceless Bingo has one free bingo room, which is open seven days a week, for ten hours a day.  It offers the 90Ball Bingo game with cash prizes of up to £25.  Players can have up to twelve free cards each game, and can also opt to buy another twelve at 10p each.  So, I guess, that means their only free bingo room isn’t actually, entirely, free after all!!

Register without a credit card and Priceless will give you a free fiver.  Register your card and they’ll give you another fiver.  Players can use their bonus money to play any of the side games, and enter the 80ball and 90ball pay to play bingo rooms.  Tickets here are 10p and you must buy between two and six tickets. However, on the bright side, it’s buy two and get one free in the 80ball room and buy three get two free in the 90ball room.

To play for free, players must make a deposit.  However, they are giving a 600% bonus on the first 3 deposits, and another 250% on reloads.   Not only can depositing players enter the free bingo room, they can also take advantage of all the promotions.  Including the big, £5000 jackpot game on a Friday night.  With such huge deposit bonuses up for grabs, and the free £10 to get you started, Priceless Bingo has to be worth splashing the cash.  Well, a little bit at least!

  • ASA Online Bingo Advertising Clamp Down

By Lisa West on Tuesday, 1st September 2009

I don’t know about you, but I hate it when the publicity says one thing, and the small print says another.  On my travels around the online bingo circuit, I have come across various online operators who have been, shall we say, somewhat conservative when it comes to the facts.  I’ve signed up, rubbing my hands together with glee, in sweet anticipation of my free tenner, which should miraculously appear in my bingo balance; without handing over a penny!  Then, as I reach for my dabber, with bated breath and rising anticipation, I discover…. I can only play for fun… It’s such a letdown ( bl***y annoying too! )

Thankfully, it looks like ASA have finally turned their attention to the online bingo industry.  Who, quite frankly, have been getting away with it, while the bingo halls have been feeling the heat from all directions!  Bingo Hero are a relatively new website, owned and operated by Cheblis; a Cypriot company.  The gripe from ASA is about their “£15 Free - No Deposit Required”, publicity to attract new players.  After a complaint was lodged, ASA agreed that the publicity was misleading.  Why?  The winnings from the money cannot be withdrawn.  Therefore, the “Free Money” is deemed “Fun Money”… not the real kind, that you get to buy new dabbers with!

It is not that they cannot make this kind of offer, it’s just that they have to make their offer clearer.  Bingo Hero did add a *terms and conditions… even so, that’s not enough to ‘cut the mustard’ with the ASA!  They want it made 100% clear from the off, without the need to check out the small print.  Personally, I agree 100%!  It’s about time.  To not take action on such misleading publicity seems out of sorts, considering ASA recently clamped down on Tombola, so very hard.  Not even for misleading the public, but simply for having a theme that might appeal to younger people.  Tombola took the decision very well; piled in a tonne of money to revamp, and did a great job.  The latest clamp down on Bingo Hero should push other online bingo operators into some straight talking, and it’s about time!

  • Free Bingo Revolution..Or Devolution?

By Lisa West on Wednesday, 2nd September 2009

When UK Bingo Players first caught the headlines for Cheeky Bingo, they could hardly contain themselves.  Free Bingo, Real Cash.. Whoop! Whoop!  Even so, was anybody really prepared for, or have an inkling, as to just how HUGE free bingo websites would become? And in such a very short space of time.

The Online Bingo community has gone absolutely nutty for it!  Even when there are five hundred players, all going for a £1 pot, they will keep coming back for more.  There seems little doubt, when you think about that, Online Bingo is still a social game.  Just like it was in the old days!

There have been hundreds of new Free Bingo websites popping up, since Cheeky Bingo.  Plus, a lot of the big brand names have started laying on the free games a lot more.  Even so, the main contenders seem to be Cheeky Bingo, Costa Bingo, and the recently launched, Foxy Zero.  A report for June’s figures indicate that 31% of the total, online bingo action, is in the free bingo rooms.  Despite the fact that many of the games offer relatively small prize pots.  In January, this figure was a lowly 3%.  That’s a big swing in the free play direction.

So, it looks like there's a free bingo revolution going on among players, and an online bingo war among operators!  Interesting situation.... As to why this has happened??  Well, it surely has to be a combination of things.  Regardless, bottom line is;  if people have no money, it doesn’t matter how good the thing is you're selling.  They can’t buy it!

Clearly, the recession has a lot to answer for.  A lot of players simply cannot afford a night out at their local Bingo Hall.  Online Bingo is the economical option.  Plus now, with the introduction of free play bingo sites, players really do get to have their cake and eat it!  How many of the pay to play sites can survive the change, has yet to be seen.

  • Free Today, Gone Tomorrow?

By Lisa West on Friday, 18th September 2009

Free Bingo is big Bingo news, and it has been kind of amazing, just how much the big brands are falling over themselves to offer free play games.  The stats reveal that a third of online players regularly login to the Free Bingo rooms.   We have witnessed the arrival of free play Bingo websites from some of the leading operators, like Cheeky Bingo, Costa and Foxy Zero.  Every day we see more and more pay to play websites joining in with the rush, and providing Free Bingo promotions.

While everything looks rosy in the garden right now, there is the question, is it ever actually going to end?  Is Free Bingo destined to stay?  Or is it just something we should regard as a timely bonus.  After all, with the economy the way it is, free-play can be the only way for some people to continue playing their favourite game.  However, when people are feeling a bit more flush, as the economy straightens out, will players still be queuing up to play Free Bingo?  Will that £1 jackpot still hold the same excitement and appeal. Free play sites offering larger jackpots can have hundreds of players in them at any one time, which can make the odds of winning a lot slimmer.

Just take a look around, you will see, there are a lot of pay to play sites offering Free Bingo too.  The general mode seems to be, the more free games they offer, the smaller the jackpots tend to be.  The free games need to be funded, and the general idea is to encourage free players to enter the pay to play games.  Indeed, for many players, the pay to play jackpot games are just as appealing as Free Bingo, if not more so. Ultimately, Free Bingo could turn out to accomplish the opposite, and simply initiate the demise of smaller operators.

  • Come On Honey, Show Me The Money!

By Lisa West on Wednesday, 30th September 2009

Everyone loves a tourney!  And Wink Bingo is always there to accommodate.  Tonight, there’s a sweet £25K up for grabs.  No wonder they called it “Share the Money, Honey”!  That kind of money is definitely enough to get the old Bingo buds watering. The general drift of this game is, players earn points when they play the instant games.  Every £10 wagered on any Instant Game earns 1 Tournament Point.  All the instant games are included in the promotion. There’s a few wild card touneys around too, offering the perfect opportunity to clock up some last minute points. Players also get 5 points if they get the biggest win of the day, and 2 points for emailing Wink with a good reason, as to why they would “love to share”.  Be nice everyone, remember, sharing is caring roomies!

There’s money in the honey pot for the top 100 players of the tournament. To be eligible to take part, players must have made a deposit. That’s it, then just play their favourite instant games.  Show me The Money Honey is a slots tourney, but Wink Bingo have laid on various different tourneys in the past, also the same kind of principle applies.  Play games, collect points, climb the leader board.  Wink are giving away thousands with this promotion, and one hundred players are set to win.  First prize is a storming £5K! Very sweet : )

If you love tourney games, just like “Share The Money honey”, then Wink Bingo is a good place to be.  Wink has fast become a popular online Bingo website,  and they go a long way to keep their players busy.  Their sign up offer is the best on the net, with a £15 bonus in welcome cash, just for signing up. No Deposit Required.  Plus, a 200% cash match on the first deposit and 50% on all reloads over £10.  As well as some ace promotions, players also get 10% cash back on ALL loses.  With an offer like that, it’s gonna be hard not to give these guys the Wink!

  • The 888Ladies Are Giving It Away Free ; )

By Lisa West on Sunday, 18th October 2009

According to a recent report, by a UK online Bingo monitoring service, players just can’t help being lured by Free Bingo.  Apparently, the pull of the Free Bingo rooms is so strong, that it accounts for just over thirty percent of all online player activity.  Blimey!  Things don’t half change fast in the world of online Bingo.  Back in January, Free Bingo rooms only managed to seduce around 3%.  This year, players have witnessed the launch of several, leading brand, Free Bingo websites, like Cheeky and Costa Bingo.   However, now, a lot of the pay to play sites are also offering Free Bingo.  And, that includes the lovely 888ladies!

The 888ladies offer Free Bingo, Monday through Sunday.  The “Ladies First” room opens its doors at 11.30am.  Each player is allowed six tickets for each game, and there are £10 prize pots, up for grabs, every hour, right through until 11.30pm.  That’s twelve hours of Free Bingo, every single day.  Now, as if that wasn’t enough… every weekday evening at 7pm, Monday to Friday, players can win £300, in the big jackpot game, held in the “Bubbly Bingo” room.  On Saturday and Sunday, that prize pot goes up to £500.  Wow!

The 888ladies give every new player £5, when they sign up.  NO deposit required, but you will need a valid credit or debit card.  However, only depositing players can join in with the promotional, free and side games.  But never mind!  The ladies are very generous.  There’s a 150% cash match bonus available, on first deposits from £10 to £100.  Plus, there’s also a 50% cash match available, on all reloads of £20 to £100.  That’s a lot of free games, even without the free games!  Looks like the 888ladies are making sure, their members don’t go getting ‘mesmerised’, by anybody else’s offer ; )

  • Foxy Zero Changing Fast

By Lisa West on Monday, 19th October 2009

Hey, hey, hey… looks like the tide of change is on its way.  And, as usual, it’s the sly old Fox leading the way!  While current Foxy Zero members may be enjoying the land of “No Deposit Free Bingo”, future roomies won’t be able to sample the same pleasure.  Now, although there may be an echo of ‘moans and groans’, among freebie hunters up and down the country.  Pay to play players are rolling in the ‘loyalty’ promotions. Literally! Operators are literally falling over themselves, to get players depositing their cash.  Because, at the end of the day, what goes out must come in… something like that anyway.  You get the drift!

You can’t drive a car without putting in petrol. And, you can’t keep paying out prize money, without taking in some cash. The whisper throughout the Bingo industry, since the arrival of free play sites, has always been, “How long are they going to keep this up?”.  Or, “How long can they keep this funded”.  Well, it seems, in the case of Foxy Zero, not long.  On one hand, this is a incredibly sensible and logical move, on their behalf. And, it is definitely going to work out to the advantage of paying players.  But, on the other hand….

When Foxy Zero first launched, it was done so as a completely free to play, Bingo website. To most, that means there is no need to part with any cash to play. Although their action is not exactly unfair, and is actually more fair to paying players, it does seem a little.. Well, misleading.  Kind of like, portraying yourself as the cow, when really, you’re the milkman.  While both deliver the same thing, they ain’t quite the same!  But hey!  As long as we get our daily pint, at a fair deal price, it’s cool. Right?

  • Costa Bingo Hit’s the Small Screen

By Lisa West on Thursday, 22nd October 2009

Costa Bingo is a frontrunner within the world of online Bingo.  Although starting out as a freeplay Bingo website, recently, they have been trying a slightly different ‘tact’.  Most notably, with regards to the incentives on offer, for depositing players.  Does this mean that we can look towards Costa Bingo, as an up and coming pay to play contender?  Who will be shining his light ‘up there’, alongside names such as Foxy Bingo? Well, with the level of publicity, Costa Bingo are now putting into action, me thinks this might well be the case.

Publicity works… repetition works!  (Try telling the old man that!)  And television publicity works more than most.  That’s a proven fact, and why TV Adverts can cost the advertiser an arm and a leg.  So, it’s no surprise, a get up and go site, like Costa Bingo, has decided to take the plunge.  Unlike many of their competitors, Costa has not opted to sponsor any particular program.  Instead, the new animated advert has been popping up during some mainstream programs, on various channels.  It’s short and sweet, and features a Mr Sunny… lol… he’s does a lot of bouncing about, and shouting about ‘That’s Massive’. In reference to the massive promotions on offer at Costa Bingo. Of course!!!

Operations Manager for Costa Bingo has high hopes for their latest campaign, stating that she feels the new Ads will “take costabingo.com and free online bingo to the next level”.  Next level?  Pay to play Bingo?  Would that be what she means, by “next level”… If that is the plan, will their shift in ‘preference’ simply see the loss of their free players.  Do they care!  Costa Bingo has approximately three thousand five hundred players, logging in on a regular basis.  And, as Costa’s operations manager points out, free Bingo has no financial risks attached to it.  It simply offers free fun, and "the highest level of bingo game play online”.  Not a lot to add there then…

  • Chief Executive At Costa Bingo Opens Up

By Lisa West on Friday, 30th October 2009

In a recent interview with egr magazine, Richard Skelhorn, CE for Costa Bingo talked about why the company had moved from affiliate, to operator. When asked if the company had created a free Bingo site, because they ‘moved in’ a little late in the game, Skelhorn indicated that “yes”, this had been a reason, “to some degree”.  As far as the company were concerned, it seemed the “best way to gain the registrations needed”.  And, without doubt, the strategy has been extremely effective.  As Skelhorn points out, when the “barriers of entry” are removed, a site is, in principle, fairly assured of attraction players.  If it costs nothing to sign up and play, as is the case at Costa Bingo, there are few reasons why, not to sign.

The same people behind Costa Bingo, launched Casino Choice, eight years ago, in 2001.  It became extremely successful, sending a lot of traffic, towards a lot of Casino operators.  Casino Choice, becoming a very successful affiliate website. So, what made them change tact?  According to Skelhorn, it was due to their huge success, generating a awful lot of traffic, that they decided to make the change over.  It turns out, they began to shoot themselves in the foot. Or, at least, maybe, the operators they were sending traffic to, began to indicate they were actually feeling threatened!

In consequence, the operators began lowering their rates, and ultimately, offering a revenue share.  Faced with the facts, the company decided to move onto the operational side of things.  Skelhorn stated that, “We looked at how many new depositors the established rooms were generating and knew we had a chance of competing”.   Well, Costa Bingo has certainly accomplished that, and some…. It’s highly possible, even more so than anyone first imagined.  And, that has to be a nice surprise for everyone at home base.

  • 888Bingo Is On Its Way

By Lisa West on Tuesday, 1st December 2009

The 888Ladies bingo site has been a BIG hit online since its launch.  888.com are the owners of 888ladies and will soon be launching a sister site called 888Bingo.com.  This strategy has proven extremely successful for other operators, and given the huge success of 888Ladies, this new site seems destined to pummel its way into the top ranks.  The site is still under construction at the moment, but if you take a quick peek the team at 888 have been working hard to, as they say, “spoil you with the most luxurious online bingo experience on the internet today”… Now, if that doesn’t sound like a promise, I don’t know what does!

888.com own Dragonfish, who in turn own Globalcom - a leading bingo software company.  Therefore, they own the rights to the bingo software used by 888Ladies. The same software used by other leading UK bingo websites, like Wink Bingo and the UK’s 2010, No1 Bingo Operator of the Year, the great Foxy. The new 888Bingo website will also use the same Globalcom software as 888ladies, Wink and Foxy.  So if you like the game on offer at any of these sites, your probably going to be at home with the new 888Bingo.  Although word on the grapevine is… the new site will only be using this software ‘for now’…

Globalcom are looked upon as one of the most reliable and secure online bingo networks. Based on that fact, the new 888Bingo seems destined for success.  At the moment, loos like the company are sticking to what they know, until they get things ‘in order’.  Once they secure a good member base, likelihood is they will make this a ‘stand alone’ website.  The welcome offer hasn’t been revealed yet.  But the 888Ladies are one of the few online operators still offering a ‘no deposit’ welcome bonus.  So keep your eyes peeled, coz there’s every reason to think that this will also be offered at the new 888Bingo site.  In which case, we may as well all give it the once over… at least!!!

  • Cheeky Bingo - the busiest bingo site around?

By Lisa West on Friday, 29th January 2010

EGaming Review recently released an online publication that revealed statistics show Cheeky Bingo had the most players logging on during December. These stats do not include all the major online bingo operators.  However, they do include all the operators currently using the Dragonfish bingo network.  And that has some big names on it, like Wink Bingo and the UK No1 operator, the great Foxy.  When you consider they are part of the equation, and yet the busiest site on the network is a free online bingo website (as well as the second busiest!) - you have to take notice….  These statistics do seem to be highlighting just how huge the impact of online bingo sites has been, during the last 12months.

Cheeky Bingo were the first operator to launch a dedicated free online bingo website.  Offering free games and real cash prize money it’s popularity became phenomenal, and in July 09 Costa Bingo also launched onto the UK free online bingo scene.  Many Bingo enthusiasts and workers within the industry, since trying to call the ‘popularity stakes’ between Cheeky Bingo and Costa - not an easy thing to do…  According to the stats from Dragonfish, while Cheeky averaged 1608 players a day, and Costa Bingo 1408 players a day during December, Foxy and Wink Bingo didn’t even hit the 1000 player mark.

According to Costa Bingo’s CEO Richard Skelhorn, the statistics prove that the free online bingo model works, with regards to attracting new members.  And while there has certainly been a marked notice of late, with regards to the bonuses in place for depositing players, Skelhorn has stated that the company will not be abandoning the free play strategy, stating; “We are confident in our product offering and encouraging players to try our free bingo experience before making the decision to deposit with us.”

  • Free No Deposit Bingo On It's Way Out?

The free play bingo model seems to have become a success in the UK, in a relatively short amount of time; with major free play operators such as Cheeky Bingo and Costa Bingo pulling in more players than the likes of Wink and Foxy Bingo.  That is, according to the latest statistics released by Dragonfish and eGaming magazine.  However, while they may be claiming success other such operators are far from pulling in the players….  Despite offering up a tonne of free bingo online.  Plus, it has been noted that some ‘free play’ website operators have recently been changing their tact.  Moving their interests over to depositing players; abandoning their no deposit, free play, real cash prize offerings.

Bingo.com is bingo portal where members can enjoy a free or pay to play game of bingo…. and of course… a good Chat!  After all, it just ‘aint’ bingo if you can’t have a chinwag with your fellow roomies!  What’s so extraordinary about that I hear you ask???  Well… nothing!  But what is extraordinary is that this operators figures for the first three quarters of 2009 showed losses. The final figures in the third quarter for 2009, from July to September, revealing the company lost more that £125K a month.  With overall losses for the year, showing an 8% fall in revenues.

Why is this company in trouble?  They have been around for eons - Bingo.com LTD (the company) are based in the West Indies and were originally founded way back in 1987 - and have been providing online bingo to players from around the world since 1999.  With such a long time in the industry - as well as the No1 domain name for bingo! - one would think these guys had it in ‘the bag’….  According to Tarrnie Williams, Chief Executive for Bingo.com, the losses are down to players “becoming more sophisticated”…

So does that mean we will be seeing some big changes soon at bingo.com?  At the moment they are still offering players a free £15 no deposit welcome bonus, and the prize jackpots in their pay to play bingo games are still offering some seriously BIG prize money.  My advice… get in there while the going’s still good!
