  • New Gameon Bingo!

By Lisa West on Saturday, 27th June 2009

You have probably seen the latest addition, to the world of Online Bingo sites, on the telly.  Gameon Bingo is a new site from the Globalcom bingo network.  Some people might find the simplicity of the design refreshing, like me! It’s easy on the eye and ‘does exactly what it says on the tin’!  Every new player gets 20 free Bingo cards to get them up and running, but you will have to give credit card details to register.

This is a big brand flagship, so despite the fact they are new, Gameon Bingo do have some great promotions available.  The first deposit, Cash Match Bonus is a very nice 150%, on any amount between five and a hundred pounds.  Plus!  You will receive a 50% Cash Match Bonus on every deposit you make, between twenty and £100!

There’s no Free Bingo at Gameon, but they do have a ‘Happy Hour’, Monday teatime, between four in the afternoon and six.  Here, they give all players double loyalty points for tickets purchased in any of the chat games.  A thousand loyalty pounds can be exchanged for a £1 credit to your account.  This isn’t such a good deal, compared to some of the other Online Bingo sites out there, but if you enjoy the Gameon Bingo site, and are going to play anyway, it’s better than nothing!

A good way to earn loyalty points at Gameon Bingo is by referring a friend.  They will give you 5000points for that, which is, basically, a fiver!  Not to much going on in the way of freebies here, but the prize promotions are good.  Right now, you can will a fab Mexican Cruise, with flights, right up until August 25th.  The big plus at Gameon is the Cash match Bonus. With the 50% permanent offer, they are giving away plenty to paying, Online Bingo players.  With the twenty free tickets available, to get you started, it probably worth a twirl!

  • High Five Bingo

By Lisa West on Sunday, 14th June 2009

By the end of this year, Channel 5 hope to have their brand new UK, Online Bingo and Casino website up and running. Dawn Airey, Fives Chief exec, stated that the company are “looking aggressively” to expand their presence within the digital media sector, and are hoping to reflect Fives “unique sense of dynamism and fun”. The new Five Bingo website will be run by Party Gaming, and Channel 5 will be looking after the marketing side of things.

Chief Executive Officer, for Party Gaming, Jim Ryan, is very happy with the new addition to the company’s portfolio. More than thirty million people tune in to Channel 5 every week, and Ryan believes this could open the doors to many more ‘high profile’ “business to business” contracts in the future.

It’s a curious turn around for Party Gaming, who’ve just finished a previous contract with ITV - who, by the way, have not yet announced which ‘strategic partner’ they will be teaming up with next.

All the projects Party Gaming set up, with ITV, failed; ITV Bingo, Bingo Night Live, and the ITV Bingo Show. Of them all, Bingo Night Live was probably the most popular with viewers, but it still didn’t generate the kind of viewing numbers ITV expected.

Despite the new contract, and everything looking bright for Party Gaming right now, rumour is, they have been struggling with their ‘Party Bingo’ website, first launched in 2005. At first, this Online Bingo website was aimed at American players. However, due to changes in their online gaming laws, Party Bingo had to re-invent itself for the UK. No doubt, a big set back for the company.

There’s a lot of hearsay right now, with regards to the Five Bingo website. A lot of people believe that their new Online Bingo Bid is going to provide the extra revenue they have been looking for. One thing is for sure, the new Five Bingo site won’t be short of advertising!

  • ChiliBingo Launching Into the UK Online Bingo Market

By Lisa West on Monday, 29th June 2009

Parlay Entertainment software has just won a new contract, from Chili Gaming. Definitely good news for the company after recently loosing two major Bingo operators, to Virtue Fusion. Chili Gaming are already a successful UK Online Poker operator, but new to Online Bingo. The Chili Poker site currently runs on PlayTech software,  and they could have stayed with them for the new ChiliBingo site.

According to the Chilli Gaming CEO, Alexandre Dreyfus, the company decided to go with Parlay Entertainment, mainly, because they believe, the Parlay Platform offers better Bingo and Side Games. The new ChiliBingo website isn’t up and running yet, so right now, we’ll all have to wait and see how things pan out. But there’s definitely the promise of some new and exciting Side Games, on the cards. Let’s hope they’re keen to encourage new players, and get things of to a cracking start with some big Sign Up Bonuses! No deposit, even better!!!

There’s no date set for the launch… yet! Nevertheless, be assured, as soon as it’s up and running Bingo Faces will be among the first to check it out. Fingers crossed, we’ll be bringing you good news! ChiliBingo will be for the UK Online Bingo market, and it will be interesting to see what Parlay Entertainment come up with. This is a great chance for them to make a comeback, after loosing two big contracts to rivals, Virtue Fusion. Online Bingo was the most rapidly expanding sector, within Online Gaming, in 2008. Looks like the competition is all set to heat up in 2009!

  • Bingo... so cool you need an invite!

By Vikki Taylor on Monday, 29th June 2009

Oh my god! I've not seen anything as cool as this associated with bingo.  If you thought that bingo was just a group of ladies sitting around playing a leisurely game or two then you were wrong!

After a good old search on twitter bingo faces have found possibly the coolest bingo night in the whole world. Rebel Bingo!

There are a few rules for the type of clientelle they want to come and here are a couple (I had to censor some!)

    • No stag or hen parties.
    • No office parties.
    • No work suits.
    • No boring people.
    • No old people.
    • No people who buy clothes from Next.
    • No w*nkers.
    • No customer service.

Now the other rule is that you're not allowed to tell anyone about it, so I guess that's my invite being taken back but I couldn't resist telling everyone about what looks like the most hard core bingo night out on the planet!

Find out more at www.rebelbingo.com but keep it secret, I wouldn't want to get in trouble! lol!

  • New!!!! Eyes Down Bingo - No Deposit

By Lisa West on Friday, 10th July 2009

No Deposit Bingo is becoming a rare commodity these days, so you’d better hurry up before Eyes Down Bingo change their mind too!  This is the latest, New Online Bingo offering from Parlay Entertainment.  The design is cute, all fluffy, pink and girlie looking.  Nothing flash, no superstars, (or Big Brother housemates - lol).  Just the good old 75 and 90ball Bingo Games. Along with a daily slot ‘event’, where you can win and spin! Plus Video Poker, Keno and all the usual distractions!!  There’s no download, and they don’t ask for your credit card details at registration. So not a lot to lose here!

I love No Deposit Bingo.  Even if they had a one eyed beagle doing the calling, and 50balls on the go, I’d be there!  As it goes, Eyes Down Bingo have a very nice Northern lady doing the calling, and she’s got the usual set of balls we’ve come to expect!!!  I leave that with you… Sign up, and the No Deposit Bingo Bonus of £10 is yours. No catch, no waiting, no filing for divorce to be eligible!  That’s a 100 Free Bingo Games, just there for the taking.  On top of that, if you do deposit, they will also give you a 150% Bonus on your first deposit, and a guaranteed 50% on deposits after that.  They also offer a couple of other ‘special’ Deposit Bonuses, but you’ll need to check them out yourself.  Coz, I’m not going to spend the whole article rambling on about them. I got other fish to fry!

For a New Online Bingo website, the Jackpot Bingo Games are pretty good.  Eyes Down Bingo also has a couple of New Online Bingo side games on offer, Bingo Wars, and Oddly Enough.  In Bingo Wars, players bet on whether the last number called will be higher, or lower than the first.  Oddly Enough is a ‘virtual’ Bingo Game’, where players predict if more odd than even numbers will be called.  Both, nice and simple, so if you’ve had a few Martinis, the rules won’t get the best of you! Another Bonus!!

  • Get a £20 No Deposit Bonus at House of Bingo

By Lisa West on Saturday, 11th July 2009

House of Bingo were launched just last year, and in the short time they’ve been up and running, they have managed to make a good impression among Online Bingo players.  The design is a bit different, kind of nostalgic!  Reminds me of the stage at my local church hall! But then, they are using the Cozy Bingo Software, so maybe the shoe fits… I did check this site out when they first started, and they were only offering the classic UK 90Ball Bingo Game, and a fast, 80Ball Game.  I’m pleased to see, they have recently added a new 75Ball Bingo Game as well.

You don’t see the site around that much, not like you do the big brand names.  But then again, you don’t get hundreds of players all fighting for a tenner in every room you enter, and that can be a GOOD thing!! House of Bingo also give you £20 in Bingo Bucks for signing up.  So it’s no big licks if you don’t like what they have to offer.  You do have to register a credit card, when you sign up, but you don’t have to make a deposit to get you paws on the £20.

If you decide to stay and play at House of Bingo, they will give you a whopping 200% cash match bonus on your first deposit.  After that, you can get up to 250% on every deposit you make.  They have a main monthly promotion available, and daily promotions.  Plus, some cool giveaways and bonuses up for grabs at the weekend.  You find things like, Buy one get one free, and there’s a £100 Guaranteed daily Jackpot Bingo Game held every day.  The Big Wins here are under a thousand, so if you’re looking for life changing amounts, look elsewhere!  No, it’s not Foxyfied, and it’s not Celebrified.  But it is Cozyfied!!!

  • Kiss My Bingo!

By Lisa West on Wednesday, 15th July 2009

KissmyBingo has just turned up with a great new look, and bless her, she is looking good! The colours are really easy on the eye, one of the sweetest designs I’ve seen in a long time. Without the fluffy stuff! Well, the new design should definitely be getting her a few looks now, but lets just have a quick peek underneath. Just to see if this New Online Bingo site is really as sweet as she looks.

Looks promising, because there’s a banner saying “£30 free on your first deposit, as long as you make a minimum deposit of £10”. But then, hey hey… On the promotions page it says Kiss My Bingo will match your first deposit up to £150.…They even go on to explain; if you deposit £20, they will give you £20. If you deposit £100, then they’ll give you £100...so how can I get £30 for £10? Is Kiss My Bingo teasing? Oohhh, I can sense the sour taste already!

Kiss My Bingo is run by Cashcade. If you had registered on the old site, you can still use it, at the minute. That one has now been renamed the KissmyBingo Original. However, anyone who wants to play on the new site needs to register a new account. Most Online Bingo websites, that are ‘born again’, take their old members with them. But, it’s not so bad! At least you’ll get a welcome bonus for your trouble. Whatever that turns out to be!

KissmyBingo offer 90 and 75 Ball Bingo, and tickets start at 5p. Not the cheapest, but the Guaranteed Jackpots are good. They have some great slots, casino and instant games too. However, the best bit is the FREE BINGO! And it’s everyday, 12 hours a day. The prizes are paid in cash, so we have ourselves a real win, win situation. If you’re not happy with that, well you can Kiss My Bingo!

  • Parlay is Spreading their Bingo Wings!

By Lisa West on Thursday, 23rd July 2009

To date, Parlay Entertainment have become one of the most popular Online Bingo software providers around.  But it seems they have no intentions of leaving it there!  Parlay Entertainment have decided to spread their Bingo wings to North America.  Their new North American division will be known as Parlay Gaming Services, and the software they provide with be slightly different to the UK.  In order to stay inline with the states regulations.

Parlay have decided to make the new software available for clients to try out, in a bid to gain new clients, and hopefully, wow some new ones!  Gaming businesses and land based Bingo Operators will be able to link up with the software, and make it available to their players.  Parlay have high hopes for the new venture, and have provided a good range of Bingo Games, Instants and Slots.  Bingo Hall members will be able to use the games and join in with the Chat.  Looks like a great way to get the Online Bingo and land based players all together. One great, big Bingo Community.  Very innovative!

Parley Entertainment Chief Exec, Scott White, said that the company was “very excited” about the new software, and it’s potential.  One client is already in the bag, signed and sealed, and Parlay are hoping that there will me many more to follow.  N-one knows who the client is yet, Parlay are keeping mum until the Online Bingo site is launched Parlay were the very first software developer to get commercial Bingo, up and running on the internet.  Their software has the 90, 80 and 75ball Bingo games, in addition to a good selection of casino games.  A top Bingo software, which is used by some of the leading names in the industry.  Parlay have always done well in the past, and there’s no reason to think this latest venture won’t work out.  A company definitely going from strength to strength.

  • Grace Yourselves!

By Lisa West on Wednesday, 29th July 2009

Looks like the sale of Cashcade isn’t going to get in the way of business!  Introducing their latest offering, Grace Bingo.  This new Bingo website has all the ‘magic ingredients’, that seems essential to success, in the world of Online Bingo.  Whether it will make to the heights of Cashcade’s biggest brands, Cheeky and Foxy, we will all have to wait and see.  However, it looks like they are definitely in for the penny, and in for the pound!

The design of Graces Bingo is a bit disappointing.  You definitely get the feeling you’ve been here before!  Very pink, and, I would even go as far to say, boring..  However, it’s not really about how good the wallpaper is, it’s about the BINGO!!  So, what exactly is Grace offering their new players right now?  Graces Bingo offers Free Bingo, twelve hours a day, every day, from 10.15am.  However, they aren’t giving newcomers any Free Bingo cash.  You will have to deposit a tenner, to try the site out.  However, they will ‘grace’ you with a free £30 bonus.

If anyone decides to deposit again, Graces Bingo will reward them with a 100% deposit, up to a maximum of £150.  In addition to that, players give 50% on all reloads after that.  So, there’s plenty of Free Bingo games to be had for your money.  Not all the new Online Bingo operators have a loyalty scheme, despite the fact they know this keeps the players happy.  Seems like there’s no flies on Grace, coz she has already pledged to reward loyal players.  There is nothing astounding or wowy about Cascade’s newest addition.  It is just a good, all round, Online Bingo site that offers a reasonable range of Bingo and side games.  However, if you’ve got a spare tenner, why not give it a go.  The bonuses are worth it!

  • It's a Big Bright Bingoday for Girls!

By Lisa West on Saturday, 1st August 2009

Bingoday first launched into the world of Online Bingo in 2006.  Earlier this year, they re-launched a new site using the popular ‘Playtech’ Software.  If you haven’t tried out the new site yet, right now they will give you a 200% Bonus on your first deposit.  You can make a minimum £10 deposit, but you won’t be getting any bonuses!  To qualify for the 200%, a minimum deposit of £20 must be made.  That is quite high, compared to a lot of sites, but the big, progressive jackpot Bingo Games are just to much to pass up!

Bingoday also give players 25% on reloads, up to a maximum of £100.  Players who were registered for the old site will have to sign up again.  However, that’s not so bad because there’s plenty of bonuses available for your trouble.  Bingoday has always been a popular Online Bingo website, so this offer probably won’t stay around for long.  Without doubt, if are thinking about giving them a try, now’s probably the time.

One thing that really stands out about Bingoday, is the design.  It just oozes the feeling of ‘girlie community having fun’, but in a very sophisticated way!  The promotions and prizes are geared to girlies, like spa treatments and shopping trips.  So there’s loads of great prizes on offer.  Chatrooms are 24/7, and there are always a few ‘little extras’ on offer here.  They have four versions of the 75 and 90Ball Bingo Games on offer, and tickets start at 2p. Bargain!

Another thing that’s good about Bingoday?  It makes a very pleasant change to see something a little different!  I don’t know how many of these ‘so called’, ‘new’ Bingo websites are mirror copies of the last one, that operator launched.  But it’s too many…. With all the money these guys are raking in, you’d think they’d make a bit more effort to keep their players happy.  It’s little more than we deserve!

  • Who's The Big Bad Fox? Not Foxy!

By Lisa West on Monday, 10th August 2009

It really is a FREE Bingo fest online right now!  Players can now play 24hrs a day, seven days a week without parting with a penny.  In fact, at the new Foxy Zero site there is a free game played every three minutes!  The newly launched Foxy Zero is the little sister of the Fox himself and as you can probably guess, it is so named because it will cost you zero, zilch to play there.  Foxy Zero is the latest offering from the Cashcade group, and you may have seen the adverts already.  The publicity is a good indication of just how smart the Fox is, and he’s definitely been a busy guy of late!

The new site has free and paid games available.  The 90ball “Free as a Bird” room is open 24hrs a day.  The “Free-ky” Bingo room palys the 75ball game and opens it’s doors at 6am.  The Jackpots vary, a few pounds at the moment, but it does seem to be going up swiftly!  Registered players at Foxy Bingo can use the same login at the Foxy Zero website.  If you are new, you will need to register a bank card, even to play the free games.

The paid to play rooms have tickets going for as little as 2p.  There are two permanent 90ball bingo rooms with 5p and 10p ticket games.  The minimum deposit is £10, and Foxy (being the ever generous guy he is) will give you a 200% first deposit bonus.  Right up to £200!!  On top of that, he will give you a 50% cash match on every reload, for ever!  The Jackpots are bigger in the pay to play rooms, and there is a £500 Jackpot, 5p game played every day - The Foxylicious 500!  The Friday Phenomenon has a £2500 prize and the game begins at 9pm.  Tickets are just 25p!  Register top and as Foxt says “ you play, we pay”!!!

  • New Free Bingo Site Launched - Priceless!?

By Lisa West on Tuesday, 4th August 2009

Looks like Online Bingo is becoming a freebie haven, with yet another free-play site just launched in the UK.  Priceless Bingo is the new addition to the clan, and I have to say, I was intrigued, so I had to give it a whirl!  Off to a good start, with a quick sign up, £5 in Bingo Bonus money, and NO CREDIT CARD required.  Just validate your email, which comes through in less than a minute, and you’re away!

You can play the games with your bonus money, not just the 90 and 80ball bingo games on offer.  Priceless Bingo have provided an interesting selection of side games; Keno, Roulette, Hi or Lo, Instants, and even a natty little penalty shoot out game.  The site is new, so even though it’s free, the Bingo rooms aren’t bursting at the seems…yet.  Probably why I even had I win!!!  But soon lost it on the Roulette (am a sucker every time…. Lol)

There is one Free Bingo room at Priceless Bingo, and it’s open 10hrs a day, Monday to Sunday.  However, to try this out, you must register a credit card, although it won’t be charged and you do receive another £5 in Bingo Bonus Money for the trouble.  Every player receives 12 free cards, and has the option to buy another 12.

If you want to withdraw any winnings, the minimum amount is £50.  Plus, with winnings from the free games, there are various rules and regulations, with regards to depositing, as to whether you can withdraw any cash at all.  Priceless Bingo are offering a 600% cash match Bonus on the first three deposits, and 250% on reloads.  This is a promising new Online Bingo website, and the bonuses etc are all good.  However, the criteria for withdraws is, shall we say, a little complex.  Make sure you understand them before depositing loads of cash in hot pursuit of that 600% bonus.

  • New deal for Gala Coral

By Lisa West on Sunday, 9th August 2009

Gaming Technology Solutions have been signed up by Gala Coral, to try and help the company improve its portfolio.  Gaming Technology provide solutions for Online Gaming Operators throughout Europe.  The GTS software, EdGE, will be integrated into Gala Coral’s current platform.  This means several of Gala Coral’s current gaming websites, which includes Gala Bingo, will have a selection of new games on offer.

GTS claim that the EdGE Platform will be cost effective for Gala Coral, and should mean that the games are easier to manage.  Without doubt, amidst all the rumours with regards to the finances of Gala Coral, cost effective should be highly appealing to the company.  Gala Bingo are among the big brand names of the UK Online Bingo Industry.  Of course, they still have land based clubs, although, not as many as they used to.  Over the last twelve months, it seems Gala Bingo have made nothing short of a determined effort, to reduce their land based operations.  Concentrating on their TV and Online Bingo endeavours, with gusto!

According to certain media sources, Gala Coral are nursing debts, which range around the £2.5Billion mark.  The joint owners of Gala Coral have already pumped a £100Million into the company, in an attempt to install some financial stability.  However, it is reported that they cannot, or won’t, be throwing any more into the kitty.  Also, the Royal bank of Scotland, Gala Coral’s chief lender, have ordered the sale of certain sectors of the business, in an attempt to balance the books.  An allegation that has been denied by the group itself.

Gala Bingo has certainly been receiving a big promotional push just recently, especially the Gala TV Online Bingo club.  All sorts of re-organising and big names being brought in, to hook the interest of Online players.  Who knows?  Maybe the side shuffle, into the world of celebrities, will be exactly what Gala Bingo needs.  After all, a bit of the old ‘magic’ celebrity dust never did anyone any harm!

  • Free Bingo? It's Priceless!

By Lisa West on Thursday, 13th August 2009

Priceless Bingo is exactly that!  You won’t have to part with a penny to play here…not unless you want to of course!  Looks like things are going to get even hotter, with yet another free bingo site being added to the mix.  The new Priceless Bingo has been launched using one of the UK’s leading software providers, Cosy Games.  The same software used by Bingo Playground, who recently won ‘Site of the Year 2008’.  Right now, it doesn’t look like they will be giving cheeky or Costa too much to get fluffy under the collar about, but it’s early days yet.

At the moment, Priceless Bingo has one free bingo room, which is open seven days a week, for ten hours a day.  It offers the 90Ball Bingo game with cash prizes of up to £25.  Players can have up to twelve free cards each game, and can also opt to buy another twelve at 10p each.  So, I guess, that means their only free bingo room isn’t actually, entirely, free after all!!

Register without a credit card and Priceless will give you a free fiver.  Register your card and they’ll give you another fiver.  Players can use their bonus money to play any of the side games, and enter the 80ball and 90ball pay to play bingo rooms.  Tickets here are 10p and you must buy between two and six tickets. However, on the bright side, it’s buy two and get one free in the 80ball room and buy three get two free in the 90ball room.

To play for free, players must make a deposit.  However, they are giving a 600% bonus on the first 3 deposits, and another 250% on reloads.   Not only can depositing players enter the free bingo room, they can also take advantage of all the promotions.  Including the big, £5000 jackpot game on a Friday night.  With such huge deposit bonuses up for grabs, and the free £10 to get you started, Priceless Bingo has to be worth splashing the cash.  Well, a little bit at least!

  • Play For A Penny, Win A £1000 at Little Big Bingo

By Lisa West on Sunday, 16th August 2009

While on the subject of advertising!  The recently re-launched, Cashcade gaming site, Little Big Bingo has just released new publicity, about it’s latest up and coming publicity!  It seems all the rage these days… Then I guess, when the operators are forking out seriously big money on marketing, they need to get the most out of it!  There are four new TV adverts are due to be aired throughout August and September, and last 10seconds each - no wonder they have to stretch the ‘usage’ a bit!

All the new adverts feature Little Big’s all important one penny coin, their ‘virtual’ logo.  The little Big Bingo motto is ‘Play for a Penny, Win Pounds”.   With 1p Bingo Games, offering up to £1000 in guaranteed prize pots, never a truer word was spoken!  The adverts are clever, simple and very to the point.  They concentrate on Little Big main pulling power, and that’s exactly what the motto says!

The Cashcade group have been very clever with the re-launch of  Little Big Bingo.  The penny market is a lucrative one.  By launching Foxy Zero as a Free Play site, and now Little Big Bingo, Cashcade have made themselves several strong footholds, across the Online Bingo community. In fact, by keeping the Think Bingo Cosy players intact, they propelled Little Big Bingo straight into the Online Bingo community, throwing cheap games in it’s wake!  That surely has to be a recipe for success.  New adverts or no!

  • Mecca Bingo's Big Success Story

By Lisa West on Saturday, 22nd August 2009

With so many land based Bingo Halls in trouble, and even the leading brand names struggling to keep finances on a level, it’s nice to hear some good news; for once!  It cost an incredible £5Million to convert a former cash and carry building into the brand swanky new Mecca Bingo Hall.  That’s a lot of investment, especially with the current economic climate, a smoking ban and the recent tax hike.  Plus!  The recent onslaught of Online Bingo operators offering penny Bingo and Free Bingo rooms by the tonne.  It’s been more than enough to see many, previously well established, Bingo Halls close their doors, permanently.

The brand new Mecca Bingo Hall in Beeston, near Nottingham, has become such a buzz point that even some of their competitors employees have made a beeline for Beeston (on their nights off of course!).  Looks like one Bingo Hall that is destined for success. Life hasn’t been easy for the land based Bingo operators of late.  Just when they thought the industry had received about as many blows as thought possible, they’ve now had to suffer the Swine Flu epidemic.  Even so, it just goes to prove, success is possible, even in the face of inevitable failure!

To get the new Mecca Bingo Hall of to a flying start, the grand opening of the new Queens Rd Bingo Hall was a not short of a gimmick or two.  There was plenty of fresh male flesh for the ladies shall we say!  The new Bingo Hall has made use of the latest state of the art technology, which, along with the live Bingo callers, make the game not so different to Online Bingo.  The callers are a lot more interactive with the players, wearing headsets, which allows them to move around.   Mecca have gone all out to make land based Bingo just that bit more exciting, and it looks like their players are having a great time!

  • Community Bingo - Taking It Home To Texas

By Lisa West on Saturday, 12th September 2009

It is incredible what a game of Bingo can achieve.  Especially today, with our high tech, interactive, all singing, all dancing, state of the art - am I overdoing it here??? - well, you get the picture!  Technology and the internet has added a new dimension to the game, and despite it’s success, online Bingo does have it’s fair share of critics.  Why?  Primarily, many believe it simply does not have the same sense of community, that the land based Bingo Halls can provide.  For those who don’t really understand what that means, they might be wiser if they played in Texas!

Charity Bingo has put back $3.2million into the one hundred and forty different counties, and cities, situated across the state of Texas.  And, that’s just the figures for the first half of 2009!  That’s a lot of money going back into the community, and that’s a lot of fun being had by those communities at the same time.  Talk about a win, win situation.  According to Texan law, 5% of any prize won, playing Charity Bingo, must be donated to the General Revenue Fund.  Looking at the figures, they must be loving their Charity Bingo over there!

During the second quarter of 2009, Bingo donations to the General Revenue pot went up by 5.3%.  Any counties or cities that impose the levy, get half of the donation, from every player who wins in their jurisdiction.  So obviously, everyone is enjoying the benefits.  How’s that for putting the community spirit back into Bingo?  There are few who could argue with this kind of ‘taxation’.  Certainly a less bitter pill to swallow, compared to the latest tax rise, imposed on the already ailing UK operators.  If the government really wants to squeeze a few more coffers from Bingo, maybe they should take a leaf out of the Texan book?

  • Free Today, Gone Tomorrow?

By Lisa West on Friday, 18th September 2009

Free Bingo is big Bingo news, and it has been kind of amazing, just how much the big brands are falling over themselves to offer free play games.  The stats reveal that a third of online players regularly login to the Free Bingo rooms.   We have witnessed the arrival of free play Bingo websites from some of the leading operators, like Cheeky Bingo, Costa and Foxy Zero.  Every day we see more and more pay to play websites joining in with the rush, and providing Free Bingo promotions.

While everything looks rosy in the garden right now, there is the question, is it ever actually going to end?  Is Free Bingo destined to stay?  Or is it just something we should regard as a timely bonus.  After all, with the economy the way it is, free-play can be the only way for some people to continue playing their favourite game.  However, when people are feeling a bit more flush, as the economy straightens out, will players still be queuing up to play Free Bingo?  Will that £1 jackpot still hold the same excitement and appeal. Free play sites offering larger jackpots can have hundreds of players in them at any one time, which can make the odds of winning a lot slimmer.

Just take a look around, you will see, there are a lot of pay to play sites offering Free Bingo too.  The general mode seems to be, the more free games they offer, the smaller the jackpots tend to be.  The free games need to be funded, and the general idea is to encourage free players to enter the pay to play games.  Indeed, for many players, the pay to play jackpot games are just as appealing as Free Bingo, if not more so. Ultimately, Free Bingo could turn out to accomplish the opposite, and simply initiate the demise of smaller operators.

  • St Minver Websites To Run GTECH G2 Software

By Lisa West on Saturday, 19th September 2009

GTECH G2 may be a newcomer to the online gaming industry, but that doesn’t seem to be cooling their heels in any way.  The news that GTECH would be replacing the Parlay Entertainment software, on all eighty of the St Minver sites, was announced at the EiG in Copenhagen.  Despite the fact that Parlay Entertainment seem to be splashing the cash, buying up anything they can get their hands on, profits were down for the first half of 2009. Whether the latest move by St Minver will have any great affect, is yet to be seen.

Although GTECH are a relatively new venture, they do own St Minver.  Therefore, it could have been assumed, chances were, they were going to change over to their own software. The GTECH software will replace the Parlay Entertainment software on every site;  Including the Boss Media Bingo network, as well as the International Bingo Network.  The change over won’t be happening for a few months yet, targeted for next February, 2010.

That wasn’t the only announcement GTECH made at the EiG.  They also broke the news that they would be releasing new Bingo software, Bingo 2.2.  A Swedish operator will be the first to launch the new software, Hem Bingo.  The new software is multi language, multi currency, and can support linked games.  GTECH believe the Bingo 2.2 software will allow their clients to “pool liquidity and maximize the jackpots”.  Although new to the scene, GTECH G2 seem hell bent on making an impact.  Their software also holds many promises.  It will be updated every three months, ensuring the online Bingo experience remains exciting and problem free.  Something that is overlooked by too many of the online operators and software providers.  This should get them up on their toes!

  • IBN Loss Played Down By Parlay Entertainment

By Lisa West on Thursday, 1st October 2009

Parlay Entertainment boss, Scot Longley stated that the recent loss, of eighty St Minver websites, to GTECH G2, will not have any “material impact”, for Parlay Entertainment.  In short, that means, he doesn’t think that he’s going to see any falls in revenue, when GTECH 2 software takes over from Parlay, in February next year.  The St Minver sites are collectively known as the Independent Bingo Network - IBN.  GTECH also own that network.  G2 is a subsidiary of GTECH, and has already announced that they would be merging all the IBN sites onto its Boss Media Bingo software.  GTECH G2 made the announcement in Copenhagen, at the EiG. GTECH also announced the arrival of their new Bingo 2.2 software, which is the software that will replace Parlay Entertainment.

Now, while Longley may be adamant that this won’t affect their finances, if it does, this could create more than a few problems for Parlay Entertainment.  Profits are reportedly down, for the first half of this year. Word is, during the first 3 months of 2009, revenues were down by 70%.  Despite cutting back operating costs by more than half a million. Net losses this year, being more than half a million to date.  So, the company could probably do with some good news right now. Although they do not have any debts, and also have about two million dollars in the bank.

Earlier this year, Parlay also lost Paddy Power and Virgin Bingo, to another rival bingo network, Virtue Fusion.  It seems that the boss at Parlay is in complete denial, as well as the company president, and CEO, Scott White.  As far as White’s concerned, the St Minver network only represents a marginal percent of their portfolio, stating they were presently, “one of Parlay’s smallest customers”.  While also stating, like the boss, the impact of this would have “no material impact” on the company.  White was not forthcoming with exactly what kind of percentages were are talking.  For some reason…

  • NEW! Deal or No deal Bingo Game

By Lisa West on Friday, 2nd October 2009

Virtue Fusion are in the headlines again, after making their latest press release statement.  So, what’s going on now? What is the UK’s leading Bingo software provider up to now?  After the last few months, there’s not a lot we would be surprised by…  but, Ice Bingo Booths in Rekyvic?  Na! just kidding..  Virtues Fusion have announced, they are about to ‘get connected’ with Endemol UK; a UK company who have become frontrunners, in entertainment programming.  On that note, you may well be wondering, what exactly has Endemol got, that Virtue Fusion want.  Because you know very well, they must have something important!

Well, what it’s all about, is that amazing TV show, “Deal or No Deal”, which has taken the world by storm.  By running in cahoots with Endemol, Virtue Fusion now have a free hand, to develop some new and exciting Bingo games, based on this great show.  Jurian van der Meer, Head of Products and Brand Exploitation for Endemol, stated that the company were “really excited”, about the prospect.

The new Virtue Fusion game will combine facets of traditional Bingo, along with elements of the show.  Van Deer also added, "Deal or No Deal is one of Endemol's biggest TV hits worldwide”.  He also revealed that the company believed Virtue Fusion would “create a new entertainment experience”, and would be distributing the game “to some of the biggest operators in the bingo industry”.  Look like big plans lay ahead, for the Endemol-Virtue Fusion connection.

The new game is set to hit the Virtue Fusion network within weeks.  Some of the biggest online operators, in the UK, have already confirmed, they will be hosting the new “Deal or No Deal” Bingo Game. This includes Mecca, Sky and Paddy Power.  Virtue are also waiting for more operators to confirm, in the very near future.  And, with an innovative software developer like Virtue Fusion behind it, I’m sure it won’t be long before the operators are knocking down the doors for it!

  • Dragonfish Heads For South Africa

By Lisa West on Saturday, 3rd October 2009

Dragonfish are a leading gaming software provider, and a subsidiary company of 888 Holdings.  888 ladies, are a popular Bingo brand in the UK.  However, 888 Holdings are a world respected, leading online gaming entertainment company. Despite their obvious success to date, not a company to let the grass grow under them, 888 are off to South Africa.  Just the other day, dragonfish announced, they have signed a deal with one of South Africa’s top casino groups; the Tsongo Sun Gaming Group (TSG).  Managing Directors for Dragonfish, Gabi Compos, stated that the company were regarding the deal with TSG as “the first of many, targeted at regulated markets”.

888 Holdings develops and manages all the company’s fundamental aspects of its operations in-house.  This not only includes software development, but marketing, payment processing, customer and risk management as well.  Ms compos is adamant that the software, and infrastructure, Dragonfish supply provides “ an excellent platform, for partnerships with land based casinos”.

The Tsongo Sun Gaming Group operate seven casinos within South Africa, which collectively, are visited by over 20million people a year.   TSG will be using their experience and expertise to promote the new online gaming experience, provided by the Dragonfish software. They will also be launching their own online gaming site, and both 888 Holdings and TSG will be merging their members database.

There’s little doubt, Dragonfish could be extremely beneficial to many companies like TSG, who are able to operate with a local licence. And, word on the grapevine is, they intend to launch Bingo, Poker and Casino websites in the near future.  However, for now, they will have to keep their sights on sports betting.  That is, until they have assessed the blurry lines, which currently define gambling laws, within south Africa.  But you can bet your bottom dollar, they will be doing exactly that….. as soon as they’ve sussed it!

  • Bringing Home The Beacon

By Lisa West on Monday, 5th October 2009

You may, or may not have heard of Beacon Bingo Entertainment.  It depends on where you live!  Beacon are a relatively small, independent Bingo operator, who currently run local Bingo halls in London’s Cricklewood, Loughborough and Northampton.  Mecca and Gala may have had their fair share of problems, over the last few months, and they are the two largest operators in the UK.  So, with that in mind, imagine what the little guy has been going through!  Indeed, there have been many, who have simply not been able to keep their heads above water, in the tide of change.

That’s why it’s such good news to hear that some of the independent operators are actually doing very well. Thank you!  And one of those is Beacon Bingo Entertainment, who have just taken over three separate Bingo Halls (as of October 1st 2009).  Two of the halls, in Streatham, South London, and Brighton, were operated by Riva Bingo previously.  The other is the Hippodrome Bingo Hall in Lowestoft.  That means, Beacon Bingo have just doubled their numbers overnight!

Representatives for Beacon Bingo stated that all three of the Bingo Halls will have “redesigned signage” to incorporate the “classic Beacon torch”…oohh err!!!  The Loughborough Beacon Bingo Hall is up for some “major refurbishment” too, as well as the newly acquired Brighton hall.  Their new “contemporary interiors” are set to include outside/inside, external (but enclosed) smoking terraces.  Sound like a winning plan, if they get to pull it off.

Beacon Entertainment is among the largest UK gaming groups, with more than thirty gaming venues, and a quarter of a million members.  To get their new Bingo Halls off to a blazing start, Beacon bingo have sent new cards to members, along with details of the £125K of cash and prizes up for grabs; during their special, 18 day promotion. But hey, with that amount of dollar up for grabs, they might have to buy next door!

  • Sky Bingo Re-Launch

By Lisa West on Tuesday, 6th October 2009

Sky Bingo have finally made their big re-launch, and there’s more than a buzz of excitement in the air.  The big Sky Bingo re-launch has been eagerly anticipated. There’s even been a bit of a ‘cloak and dagger’ scenario going on, with regards to what new features would be revealed.  Sky Bingo making the most of the attention! And who could blame them? It costs a pretty penny to revamp a website on this scale.  They are bound to want to at least use the intrigue, to cook up some interest!

The new design is very different to many of the online Bingo websites around.  Personally, I found it a little ‘wishy washy’ looking.  Far from kicking me into an excited buzz of anticipation.  In fact, I would go as far as to say, it is one of the most ‘clinical’ looking Bingo websites around.  To get the free £15 bonus money, new players must wager £5 first. That’s a 300% bonus, which is one of the most generous on the net.  And, players can withdraw any winnings gained, from wagering the free bonus money.  However, the maximum bonus available, is £15. Defo NOT the best around…

Sky Bingo have four hours of FREE Bingo available.  Every day, there are four separate, hourly sessions of free games.  The first free Bingo hour starts at 10am.  There’s afternoon sessions too, the first one starting 1pm.  The next session starts at 5pm, and then they have a late session at night, beginning at 10pm.  Looks like this promotion is set to stay too, with all the free games having their own dedicated venue.

Sky Bingo also offer 3hours of Penny Bingo every day, as well as a weekly £20,000 jackpot game, where tickets are just 2p. Bargain! With Linx games available, and some seriously big weekly, regular jackpots, Sky Bingo have obviously been busy. For just 10p a ticket, players can also go for the £1000 jackpot game, held every evening at 10pm.  Tickets can be pre-purchased too, so you always have the chance to be a winner at Sky Bingo.  Even when you’re not logged in!

  • Inspired Gaming At Gala Bingo

By Lisa West on Saturday, 10th October 2009

Looks like the number 3600 as turned out lucky, for Inspired Gaming.  Currently, the company has exactly that amount handheld terminals, in Gala Bingo Halls up and down the country.  And, it looks like that has turned out to be a truely ’inspired’ move on their behalf.  Because, now, Gala Bingo want another 3600!  The Inspired Gaming Group PLC are a UK based company who supply gaming software to online Bingo and Casino operators in ten countries.  By no means a ‘cottage industry’.  However, renegotiating a deal like this, can only add to their portfolio… and their profit margins, of course.

The extra ‘Bingo Wizard’ terminals were distributed in September, in most of Gala Bingo’s one hundred and forty eight Bingo Halls, situated throughout the UK.  Originally, the Inspired Gaming Group developed and designed the ‘Bingo Wizard’ software, specifically for Gala Bingo. It operates solely alongside Gala’s current gaming platform. It’s design provides players with a lot more opportunities to socialise, which is, without doubt, a good thing to encourage.

Obviously, Gala Bingo feel that it has provided many advantages for players.  Else, they wouldn’t be doubling up their order! Machines Director for Gala Coral, John Pettit, stated that the company has seen a ‘significant change’, with regards to how their members like to play Bingo.  Especially over the last few years.  Pettit believes that members “now expect the most personal, flexible experience available”.

Inspired Gaming were pioneers of Open Server Based Gaming (SBG). John Pettit stated that the SBG, provided by the company, enabled Gala Bingo to “procure top content”.  As well as allowing them to “ react quickly to consumer and legislative changes”. From October, ten of Gala Coral’s UK betting offices will trial Inspired Gaming’s ‘Storm Cabinet’ terminals.  Looks like this could be the beginning of a wonderful relationship!

  • Everyone’s Making A Beeline for Beeston

By Lisa West on Tuesday, 13th October 2009

We've all heard about the new multimillion pound, revamped, Mecca Bingo club in Beeston.  In Bingo circles up and down the country, it’s become a virtual legend.  And, in a very short space of time.  In fact, there may even be some Bingo fanatics thinking about moving to Nottingham!  Well, if they were ‘tinkering’ with the idea before, Beeston Mecca’s latest ‘shenanigans’ might be enough to edge the odds.  The Beeston Bingo Hall now has ‘smart & arty’, slick and cool waiters, serving up copious cups of frothy cappuccinos. And, as if that wasn’t enough to get their members buzzing, they’re even serving up wine with the fish and chips.  Blimey!

The Beeston Mecca has been doing very well since it opened; revamped and ready for action.  Of course, the latest figures for the Rank Group, who own Mecca Bingo, have showed revenues are on the up.  Which is quite a remarkable achievement, with the troubles of today’s financial climate.  That just goes to show, it can be done… with a lot of ingenuity and some good solid innovation.  The Beeston Mecca is divided into two separate member areas.  Of course, there’s a gaming room, where as we expect, the ambience is quiet.  The other area is where players can talk freely, without disturbing their fellow members, in the games room.  A great place to 'spread the love' when you had a win too ; )

According to Ian Burke, CE for the Rank Group, the two areas are the “Key part of the design”.  Without doubt, players can get more than a little ‘testy’, shall we say, if there’s too much chatter going on, while the numbers are called.  So, it seems perfectly logical, to give players a place to go and ‘have a break’.  As Burke points out, at this Mecca Hall members can “play bingo in the traditional way”, as well as have a social area to enjoy with their friends, and “ not be told to be quiet”.  Sorted!

  • The Rise (& Fall?), and Rise of Bingo

By Lisa West on Friday, 23rd October 2009

Bingo has seen a miraculous metamorphosis over the past couple of years.  Although, especially during the last 12months.  In times past, if you played a game of Bingo, it was because you were taking your Gran out for the evening!  Recently, there has been big swing, towards the launch of smart new Bingo Halls, revamps and modernism.  Some might say, this was due to a ‘do or die’ situation for land based operators.  Since the introduction of online Bingo, the game plan has changed.  Now, a new(ish) contender has entered the ring.  And, this is no lightweight opponent.  Online Bingo has, in many ways, catapulted the Bingo game onto a new level.  Huge numbers of players are logging in daily, to play at their favourite online site.

The change has been too much, too soon, for some operators.  And, unfortunately, they have since closed their doors for the last time. Without doubt, the raised tax rate, recession, and smoking ban, helping them along.  Even so, there are many land based Bingo Halls doing very well, thank you!  But, what of the online Bingo Industry?  Has this also had its toll, upon the already flagging Bingo Halls.  Almost certainly. ..

But, what has made online Bingo such a success? Number 1?  Bingo is a social game, and online Bingo offers the enjoyment of that, without the same expense.  No travelling costs, and,  tonnes of ‘Bargain Bucket’ tickets.  Many of the big brand operators offering free, and penny Bingo.  Plus, when the schedule is tight, logging in is a darn site quicker than going into town.  To which, I might add, at home, you always, get your favourite, or ‘lucky’ chair!

There has been some big advancements online, with regards to technology.  Better graphics, better communication options, better games… The online operators get pretty imaginative, when it comes to promotions, and variations of the basic Bingo game.  Nothing like a bit of variety to keep the spice in life!  And, on top of all that, you can find online Bingo action, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.  No wonder it’s doing so well!

  • GUD LUCK ANGEL Hits Home at Sky Bingo!

By Lisa West on Saturday, 31st October 2009

Sky Bingo only re-launched back into the UK online Bingo scene, a short while ago, and already, they are paying out some big money.  Nothing like turning up with a big bang ; ) And, it only seems ‘right and proper’, it’s a Gud Luck Angel who has reached the heavenly heights of windom, at Sky Bingo.  "GUDLUCKANGEL30", AKA Kellie ‘O’ in the chat rooms, bagged herself a stomping progressive jackpot prize.  Kellie decided to take a shot at Sky Bingo, after being dazzled by their fab £15 welcome bonus, and enlightened by their UK TV advertising campaign, which have since graced our televisions.

Kellie won almost £15,500, after just depositing £5 at Sky Bingo. Awesome!  Of course, you can imagine her surprise!  “I never dreamed I would ever win this amount”, Kellie said.  And boy, without doubt, this is one very lucky lady.  Winning on your first day?  Blimey! But it just goes to show, as the Gud Luck Angel herself says, all she deposited was £5.  But Don’t be discouraged Bingo buddies, be encouraged!  You too can sign up for Sky Bingo, deposit a fiver, and enjoy another £15 absolutely gratis.  And, who knows?  You can bet your last pence, even the Gud Luck Angel wasn’t expect THAT much luck!  But hey, I bet she’s not complaining! An neither will you be.  The worst that can happen? You get to enjoy some free Bingo fun.

The Angel won her big jackpot cash prize, playing Sky Bingo’s ‘Win4All’ game. She was playing with her free cash, when whammy!  She called Bingo! On the 29th number.  Kellie is a mum of three, and the £15K plus is going to bring around some big changes for her, and her family.  For Kellie, this win will be “completely life changing” for them all.  And, like many people who are experiencing difficulties right now, Kellie knows, “it could not have come at a better time”. So go on, be lucky!

  • FatSpannar Launching "New Dab For Life" Charity Bingo

By Lisa West on Wednesday, 2nd December 2009

Of late, we have seen a major surge from bingo operators, in the drive to raise much needed funds for UK charities.  After all, Bingo has always been a community game, originally a popular form of entertainment, devised and directed at raising money for local communities. A bit of harmless fun you might say!  Costa Bingo recently teamed up with the BBC, to raise money for their ‘Children in Need’ charity. The efforts of employees at Gala Bingo now being legendary, when they made it to base camp on Everest.  As well as having themselves a game of bingo!

One in nine women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer.  Therefore, the charity work carried out is more than needed.  FatSpanner are known as ‘specialists’ in online electronic games. Recently, they unveiled plans for a new bingo game, which will be known as “Dab for Life”.  The prototype was first seen at London’s recent “Preview Show” and FatSpanner were glad to see, there was plenty of interest in the new game.

Five percent of all the net profit made from the game will go to the UK Breast Cancer Campaign, which is a very respectable donation indeed.  The new game is a bit of a spin off from the company‘s tried and trusted, SWAP game for iphones, “True Skill” Bingo. FatSpanner’s New Business Director, Alfio Monterosso stated that everyone had been anxious to see whether “the concept would be embraced by potential customer”  at the show.

Despite the fact that “True Skill” has been more than successful in the marketplace, the company are somewhat apprehensive.  Why?  Because although “Dab For Life” is based on this successful game, it is NOT the same.  And FatSpanner have pledged £10K to the UK’s Breast Cancer Campaign, whatever the outcome. So if it doesn’t get a good reception….FatSpanner will be more than out of pocket.  So go help them out!  The company have pledged 5% of all profits to the UK Breast Cancer Campaign. And on the off, things are looking good, with the first test machines making a great impact. So keep your eyes peeled!

  • The Sales Are On At Sky Bingo

With the Turkey only just cooled off and the wrapping paper still waiting for the dustmen (LOL), we are already being bombarded with news of the January sales!  The TV is just brimming with sales publicity, for everything from a new set of dentures to a night at the Hilton!!!  And it seems the January sales WILL be including some of the UK’s more generous bingo operators.  Among the first operators to be stripping their windows and filling the shelves with bargains is Sky Bingo.  Just take a peek at what’s “in store” at Sky Bingo in their big bingo January sale, and you won’t be disappointed.  Turns out it might be the best offer you’ll had all year ; )

Sky Bingo have ‘offers a plenty’ for their members this sales season, which kicks off on January 4th with BOGOF Bingo.  Up until January 10th players can ’Buy One Get One Free’ in Sky Bingo’s “Value” and “Premium” rooms.  BOGOF Bingo will be available in the Premium Room from 2pm until 3pm each afternoon, and again from 8pm until 9pm in every evening.  In the Value Room, BOGOF Bingo will be available from 10am until 11am each morning.  Then again from 5pm until 6pm and midnight until 1am every evening… for the duration of the promotion.

New players receive a £10 welcome bonus, once they have deposited and wagered £5 at Sky Bingo.  With all the free tickets available at the moment, plus that kind of bonus, you get a lot of free chances to win….especially for a fiver!  Sky bingo only launched a short while ago, and they are keen to get their name inline online with the big boys… ASAP by the looks of it!  There’s plenty of bargains and bonuses to be had at Sky Bingo right now.  And they won’t stop on January 10th!  Coz there’s always something going on at Sky bingo!

  • Happy New Year!!!

By Lisa West on Friday, 1st January 2010

Yeah I know… I’m probably a bit of a pah humbug!  But when the kids are all grown and the main man in your life is a fat ginger cat who makes Garfield seem like a novice ‘bad boy’ …. things can become somewhat repetitive over Christmas… only so many sherries and mince pies you can eat (and enjoy) in one lifetime!  So, where do you look for some ‘new style’ entertainment?  Well for a lot of people, playing bingo online offers an economic and extremely practical way for them to have some social time - as well as a shot at a few £££££!!!  Without the fat cat having to lose a few kilos!  ; )

It’s January 1st today, so that means it’s time for some New Years resolutions…..  Pah humbug!  But hey… at least we don’t have to give up bingo ; )  No matter what the bank manager says!  Know why?  Because there is an absolute MOUNTAIN of FREE BINGO available online right now.  Those FAB New Year sales aren’t just for the high street you know.  Thankfully…

We’re always striving to keep you in touch with the latest promotions and industry news, here at BingoFaces.  And usually an offer like that of Cheggers Bingo wouldn't be oh so interesting… a couple of £££..... but it does make a change from ‘playing pop’.. and with the adverts are so B Movie I can’t help myself!  If you are an insomniac like myself… then you have probably caught the adverts already, generally shown in the early hours of the AM..  Priceless Roomies…priceless…. And if 2010 is going to be anything like 2009... We’re all going to need a bit of a laff with Cheggers...

Check out Cheggers Bingo.  With a free £2 No Deposit welcome bonus on offer, it won;t cost you a penny.... so long as you use this promo when you sign up: CHEGWIN… if you don’t use it you’ll just get there advertised £1 offering.  Which is all very well, but hey… if you can get better??
