It's time to celebrate at Crown Bingo with a record-breaking win with £240,561 being won on Crown Bingo's slot game, Lucky Ladies 88.

Glen Johnson had only been a member of Crown Bingo for ten days when he won this massive jackpot.

Glen has been housebound for four years now due to spinal problems and will use the money to buy a mobility scooter so he can get out and about again, as well as using the money to spoil his wife and kids rotten!

CM Tunaman and CM Star from Crown Bingo went to congratulate Glen and give him the prize cheque personally.

"Congratulations on your big win, Glen! We're so pleased to see a Crown Bingo player hit the jackpot!

"It was brilliant meeting one of the Roomies and we wish Glen and his family the best of luck for the future!"

It's a really good thing when we actually see the winners, but how about being one yourself? Lucky Ladies 88 is only one of many games on Crown Bingo with a progressive jackpot to be won, so why not go over and give them a try and you could be joining glen as one of Crown Bingo's Big Winners!

  • Game Village have loads of bingo offers, Did you know?

By Vikki Taylor on Friday, 24th April 2009

There’s a whole bundle of promo games at Game Village bingo, but here’s some you may not know about…

Did you know that while your fast asleep in bed, you could be winning? Game village run a Start of the Day promo from midnight to 1am. All these games will start the pot at £20 but don’t worry if you can’t stay up all night playing bingo, you can also pre-buy your tickets. Or if you’re like me and have a lot of trouble sleeping you can come on Game Village yourself and play, take part in a few of the Night Owl chat games, and win some free cards as well.

Or maybe you’re a fan of pattern games, then all April you can play Game Village’s Egg Pattern games and be entered into the draw at the end of the month.

Don’t have the money spare for online bingo but still want to play? Well now Game Village also offer free games or 1p games, just rush over to the Chip Van and play Cheap as Chips. You’ll get 100% cashback on all you wagers, and play for 1p bingo cards between noon and 1pm.

Midnight ”˜til noon you can play the free game dingo, which is a bit of a cross between slots and bingo, or to play all day theres Supergems, which is like the more-famously known bejewelled; you play these games using points rather than money and can win points back.

There’s so much more going on at Game Village and I don’t want to ramble on… Just get over there. Trust me. There’s something for everyone…

  • Posh Bingo's new adverts!

By Vikki Taylor on Thursday, 23rd April 2009

Posh Bingo have recently done a bit of sprucing up to their website and now they’ve got two new adverts as well.

Posh Bingo has had a total transformation, and it’s now posher than ever with its new site, so it wasn’t going to be long before they hit our television screens.

There are two new adverts for Posh Bingo, that I’ve found, one obviously more aimed at women, the other at men.

The first has posh handbags and shoes talking amongst themselves on the shop shelves, wondering where all the “glitzy girls have gone.” Well, they’re all at Posh Bingo of course! It’s even the same for the blokes, leaving the golf course abandoned to play posh bingo while two very upper-class old golf bags seem to be a bit offended by the whole thing.

Well, it’s inatimate talking objects all round for these adverts and personally I think they’re “spiffing”!

  • Free Bingo - Cheeky vs Posh

By Vikki Taylor on Wednesday, 22nd April 2009

Cheeky Bingo were the first to offer us online players free bingo, and now Posh Bingo have hopped on the bandwagon!

A few online bingo sites offer such things as happy hours or promo days to give players free bingo. But Cheeky Bingo and Posh Bingo are the only ones offering Free Bingo all day, every day!

I haven’t yet seen Cheeky Bingo’s Free Bingo but Posh Bingo’s jackpots can ranges from 50p to £5.

Yes, it’s true. The jackpots aren’t that great but there’s always a chance to build up your winnings, and let’s face it: it’s something for nothing, isn’t it?

The only thing Posh Bingo’s Free Bingo is really lacking in is a chat feature. The whole thing, in my opinion, gets a bit boring just sitting watching the numbers roll on by with nothing to really get involved in. And the live chat button in the top corner of the home page only seems to take you to player support.

I think the Free Bingo on these sites is a good idea—it will get more offer hunting players onto the site—but if the free bingo is constant, even with bigger cash games with higher jackpots, at what point will people start depositing to play?

  • CEO of Bingos.com Resigns

By Vikki Taylor on Monday, 20th April 2009

After five years of building and growing bingos.com, CEO Dominic Mansour is resigning to look for “new challenges”.

As well as being CEO of bingos.com he was also Director of Sales and Marketing for NetPlay TV plc.

Mansour started bingos.com five years ago, and built it up to what it is today, bingos.com was bought by NetPlay TV in April 2008 when he also became a board member.

Dominic Mansour spoke about his resignation in a press release: “It has been a real pleasure working with Martin and the team at NetPlay and I have really enjoyed the challenge of integrating the two companies and maximising the economies over the past 12 months. However, having built, lived and breathed the Bingos.com business from scratch over the past five years, I feel like it’s a good time for a new challenge. I wish Martin and the team all the best for the future.”

NetPlay TV have already found someone to replace Dominic Mansour, Gavin Whyte—who is also CEO of supercasino.com—will take over the position.

  • "Minxy" Celebrites?

By Vikki Taylor on Monday, 20th April 2009

New bingo website Minxy Bingo recently conducted a survey to find out which celebs “have the minxiest twinkle in their eye”. They asked 2000 people—but the results are a little peculiar—and they show some quite unexpected “secret minxes”.

Coming in first was GMTV’s Lorraine Kelly. Which isn’t suprising. Lesley Hall of Minxy Bingo explained that Lorraine’s “cheekiness, confidence and subtle sexiness marks her out as the ultimate secret minx”. Second place went to Fiona Bruce and in third place was Arlene Phillips from Strictly Come Dancing.

Others in the top ten included Karen Brady, Cherie Blair, Sarah Brown, Anne Robinson and Princess Anne.

And these are the suprising ones, Dragons Den’s hard-faced Deborah Meaden came in sixth, while The Apprentice star Maragret Mountford came in seventh! Margaret Mountford… Seriously?

This whole thing seems a bit bizarre to me…

It seems the players taking part in this survey, really don’t understand the term “minxy”.

And to make things just that little bit more obscure… Minxy Bingo also wanted the players to choose more conventional minxes, and that showed that Arlene Phillips is minxier than Britney Spears… And Anne Robinson, minxier than Madonna. Yeah.

Join in with all the fun on Minxy Bingo now, for Great Games, Surveys and so much more.

  • Rock And Roll Bingo

By Vikki Taylor on Sunday, 19th April 2009

Rock and Roll Bingo, a great new twist on the classic game of bingo.

The concept was thought up by Mark Walsh just to play in his local pub, but has now caught the eye of Mecca Bingo. Mecca Bingo will trial Walsh’s Rock and Roll Bingo in their Nottingham bingo hall, and then possibly go on to run it in Mecca Bingo halls across the country.

The idea is that song clips will be played instead of calling numbers, and players will mark off the song names on their cards. The rules other than that are basically the same, the first player to mark all the songs on their card off and call house, wins.

Walsh told The Yorkshire Evening Post: “We thought we had something and we thought it would take off but now we’re just over the moon. We just started playing it in a few places and it just went through the roof.”

But it seems getting his game into Mecca Bingo halls is not all Mark Walsh has in mind, he is now working on adapting the game so it could be played online or on TV.

Personally, as a massive music fan, I think this is a great idea and hope it goes far, I would definatly want to give it a go.
