It’s party time at the Buckingham Bingo club in Bradford next week. Member of the club Anne Webster will turn 102 on the 28th April and Buckingham Bingo Hall are throwing her a party!
Anne has been a member of the club since its opening in 2002, and is thrilled that they are throwing her a party.
“I’ve always enjoyed playing bingo and have made many friends over the years,” says Anne. “When Buckingham Bingo offered to throw me a birthday party I was delighted that I would be able to celebrate and play my favourite game at the same time.”
Anne goes the the club five afternoons a week with her son, Keith, and she is well loved by everybody there. To help celebrate her birthday, the club will be treat Anne to a chauffeur-driven limousine to and from the club, as well as free bingo, flowers and a cake in the shape of a bingo ticket.
Robert Cahill, manager of Buckingham Bingo says: “Anne is a great character and a true patron of the club so we wanted to do something special to mark her big day. We sometimes crack open the bubbly on these occasions but Anne will be staying well clear as she has never drunk a drop of alcohol in her life.”
