Both friends and Mecca Bingo staff put in a lot of effort, to make this birthday, one of the best Sally’s ever had. Sally retired thirty eight years ago, and has been making the most of her time, playing Bingo, since her retirement. Now Sally’s reached the ripe old age of one hundred and three, she is officially the oldest regular Bingo player, at any of the Mecca Bingo Halls in the UK. Sally is still hoping to win the Jackpot, one day, and believes Bingo keeps her active.
It’s always nice to hear good news, happy endings and the like. Plus, it’s not like the bingo Halls couldn’t do with some of that lately. This actually highlights just how important the local Bingo Halls are. Not just to sally, but to many people. When they shut down, some people are left with few alternatives, and lose a big part of their social lives. Others, lose their jobs. Every Saturday, Sally is taken to the Mecca in Knotty Ash, Liverpool, by her son, Bill. Here, she is treated like a queen and loves every minute of it! Sally says she would be lost without her Bingo Hall. Seems like the feeling is mutual!
